There comes a point when living in discomfort and discontent is no longer acceptable. This is both frightening and exciting. Exhausting and energizing.
I give women the tools to rewrite their stories and redesign their work according to their own definition of success, so their lives feel purposeful and their contributions meaningful. And I can help you too.
For some, a new chapter means realigning their work with their leadership style and values.
For others, it's getting out of a high-stress job and rethinking what they want their future to look like.
For still others, it's eliminating the emotional and mental stress in unhealthy work environments or exiting toxic ones.
And for all, rewriting your story is defining your own success and designing a new path to happiness and joy.
Some believe resilience is about powering through something tough.
Many of the women I work with are used to telling themselves they can power through any challenge. It’s always worked before. And it will again.
Until it doesn’t.
You once had a beautiful spark. A full life with passions you actively pursued. But chronic stress and mental exhaustion extinguished it.
You give, give, give—to your work, your coworkers, your family, your friends, and your communities. You take on all kinds of roles and wear all kinds of hats.
Your output is tremendous but so is the toll on your wellbeing.
Mental, emotional or physical depletion should not be the price you pay for success and happiness.
And I’ve learned, resilience isn’t measured by powering through but by your willingness to embrace your own personal power in spite of it.
Over time, the hundreds of micro and macro ways these words applied to me became obvious. Eventually, I assembled the support and uncovered what I needed to start over and carve a new path.
And while I would like to say, my experience allowed me to believe in myself unconditionally, the truth was, I continued to struggle with a lot of the same fears and self-doubts.
My work brought me the joy and fulfillment that I had been seeking, but I realized that in order to make the impact and the contribution I longed to make, I needed to change my thought patterns. I needed to learn how to keep fear and self-doubt from driving my actions and holding me back.
Through a process, I discovered what I needed to know to make a deep, sustainable change myself AND ultimately, to guide other women to do the same.
And I learned...
Resilience isn't about powering through hard times or conquering fear and self-doubt, but rather anchoring yourself in your inner strength, rising about all the noise and moving forward in spite of them.
Having the right tools and strategies to recognize when self-doubt, fear or perfectionism is in the way, in combination with the practice of sharing your voiced, setting boundaries, and navigating feedback is what creates sustainable change.

The very advice that helped me honor my mother’s new identity was ultimately what helped me reclaim my own.
As my discomfort grew, I became more and more motivated to understand it. How did I become so disconnected from myself? What had caused this? I’d had success as a student. And I’d had success pursuing the jobs I wanted.
But I’d spent years following an agenda that didn’t reflect who I was. I was on a mission to “have it all” yet I hadn't paused long enough to know what“it” was. Denial had become a way of life. And numb, my new normal.
Abandoning my interests, inclinations, and intuition had taken its toll. And in the midst of all, I was trying to accomplish, not only had I lost touch with all of that, I had no idea how to get it back.
It was late one evening while reading and reveling in the silence of a sleeping house when I finally woke up. Stationed in the middle of our coffee table was a large carved ceramic elephant. two-plus feet tall and equally wide with a majestic trunk and wrinkled skin.
For 7 or 8 years now he’d not only been the focal point of our family room but he’d celebrated every holiday along with us--Santa hats on his head, Easter baskets hooked to his trunk and he’d been adorned with balloons, bows and party hats for nearly every family celebration.
Reflecting back on all the photos and special occasions was comforting. But it wasn’t until that moment that the irony began to seep in.
I had retreated into this room almost daily for years, I guess oblivious to the symbolism. To me, he was our elephant. An art form. A member of our family.
But tonight was different….
As I stared at him head-on, an uncomfortable truth washed over me.
I had been telling myself...“you’ve got this, you can handle parenting, caregiving, and an imploding relationship and still build your professional identity all by yourself.”
But I really hadn’t and I definitely couldn’t.
And, as is so common, my mother’s illness had caused everything but the most important, the most primal parts of life to melt away. Like her, I was also looking at the world through a different lens now.
My mother’s identity was shifting as were her needs and desires. For her to thrive, I had to acknowledge and honor her changing reality.
But in that moment, I realized I had lost complete touch with my own. I felt like an imposter.
This was the elephant in my room.
Fast forward five years and I had hit a wall.
Juggling my mother’s care, raising three adolescent boys, and balancing family, home and friendships while growing a business...the balls were dropping daily.
My health began to suffer, my energy waned, my self-confidence faded, and my patience thinned. I was no joy to be around.
Barring my mother’s health, however, things appeared near perfect from the outside. My children were happy and healthy, accomplishments were plentiful and all the boxes had been ticked off.
But there was a disconnect. And a level of discomfort was beginning to bubble over. Everything I had worked so hard to create didn’t seem to make sense. I began to question what had made me want some of it so badly in the first place.
In the days that followed, I experienced unimaginable grief...denial...anger…”why her”, I kept asking? “She is so young, vibrant, and healthy….”
But then, my old stubborn attitude returned and I decided there was no way I was going to let this disease interrupt her peace and happiness.
I walked into the senior care manager's office for our first meeting with a long list of questions and armed for battle. I was ready to listen hard, take notes and leave with a plan. I was ready to take on this neurological demon. Instead, I got a lesson on perception and reality
"The best advice I can give. you in caring for your mother is to enter into her reality," she said.
Seeing my blank stare, she took my hand and lowered her voice gently...
"What I mean is...your mother is now looking at the world through a different lens. Treatment options are few.
The best and most compassionate care you can offer is to embrace her reality. Don't rob her of her dignity or sacrifice your relationship by fighting to bring her back into yours."
The day my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, the physician and a good friend, took me aside…
“Whatever plans you have together, do them now. Don’t put anything off.”
With three boys on the brink of teenagerhood and an eroded marriage, I wasn’t exactly in a position to travel the world with my mother, but the advice hit me at my core.
THE CLOCK WAS TICKING.
From this point on I came to look at every choice through the Alzheimer's lens--or the “Identity Thief” as I came to call it.

Education & Training
Once you've scheduled our session, I'll send you an assessment that will examine stress levels and/or burnout symptoms in several areas of your life, determine how they are showing up, identify your top of mind challenges and hone in on the tools that will best assist in addressing the most urgent short term issues. Schedule Here.
During the free, 30-minute session, (by Zoom or phone) we will discuss your results and explore specific action steps you can begin implementing.
Based on your goals, we will determine exactly what our work together would look like and what specific results you can expect to achieve. The duration is dependent on your specific situation and goals and happens most commonly in 3, 6, or 12-month intervals.
At a minimum, you will take away a deeper understanding of some specific action steps you can begin taking to address your challenges along with some resources to do so.
Should we decide to continue working together, we will map out a detailed plan that will be customized to your individual needs and based on your unique challenges and specific goals.
Freeing yourself from chronic stress or overcoming burnout is a process; it didn't happen overnight and the remedy won't either.
However, taking a holistic approach that examines your individual situation from four perspectives: mental, emotional, physical and spiritual, allows you to find solutions that are unique to you and sustainable.
During our initial session, we will begin addressing your most urgent areas of need and putting into place the necessary tools to alleviate the stress and increase your wellbeing. Through this initial process, you will gain an immediate sense of freedom and feel like a weight has been lifted. This clears space to work on the bigger picture.
We also create a baseline for what is happening right now. You will learn your natural and adaptive style, what drives you, daily practices to begin implementing daily and some critical tools to help you prioritize what matters most and say “no” to the rest.
During the course of our work together, we will reassess your progress and challenges to ensure you are getting what you need. Working one-on-one allows for great flexibility and as the unexpected arises or needs change, I am happy to adjust our work as needed.
I work with women whose lives and leadership have gotten sidetracked, derailed or depleted by a chronic stress cycle.
Many are on the verge of or are already experiencing burnout.
I help them free themselves from this downward spiral so they can regain a sense of purpose in their work and meaning and joy in their lives.
If your work, relationships, or day-to-day life is suffering due to chronic stress and burnout symptoms, you are not alone.
And building a resilience plan is your secret weapon.
For many women, the habit of putting their own well being behind everything and everyone else is an easy one to fall into. As high performers and overachievers, their lives go on auto-pilot and they never turn “off”.
Their sense of work-life balance crumbles, along with their productivity, confidence, and sense of purpose.
If this is you, our work together will show you how to eliminate this vicious downward spiral, bounce back stronger than ever, and feel like yourself again.

It will also provide you with tools to experience the huge joy and fulfillment that our true callings bring us. And to fulfill them in even more satisfying and bold ways.
To conclude the process, we evaluate results achieved together and create a plan to keep your strategies moving forward and progressing into your future.
In this module, you will create and implement a 21-day strategic plan that incorporates your work life, personal life, self-care and time for the activities that your heart desires.
We will support you DAILY to sustain your drive and motivation and empower you to create habits to ward off burnout ... and start to live the lifestyle that you crave.
This module gives you a powerful tool to consistently access the wisest, calm and grounded part of yourself. You'll gain the ability to tap into the right course of action when navigating challenges, handling conflict or making tough decisions.
This will give you the ability to discover exactly what you want your life to look like. You'll be able to hit reset, regain your vibrant self and create a more meaningful and fulfilling life. We will create a vision that pulls you forward and still allows you to focus and stay grounded on what is important today.
Our goal here is to give you more time to do what you want, with who you want, when you want.
Imagine what you'd be doing if you could quiet the voice that questions your expertise, that tells you your work is sub-par, that you don't measure up or you don't have what it takes? Imagine what would be possible if you prevent self-doubt from holding you back?
Through this examination of your internal narrative, you'll come to understand the root cause of your inner critic, become aware of the silent ways it interferes with your growth and learn how to stop taking direction from it. Most importantly, through the use of some specific tools, you'll learn how to recognize it in the moment and be equipped to silence it when it doesn't serve you.

Early in my work coaching women, I noticed a thought pattern--too often strong, accomplished women just couldn’t see those traits within themselves. They were ready to take risks, but they didn’t believe in themselves. They were more than capable of doing the work they longed to do, but they doubted their own ability. They were creative problem solvers but they couldn’t see it.
I related well to this, because for years this was my own struggle. Despite my interests or inclinations in one direction, I abandoned them for a different path. A path that looked good from the inside, but didn’t reflect who I was or the contribution I longed to make. I had the qualifications I needed to feel confident, but I was far more comfortable in the back row than in the front. Fear held me back. I didn’t believe in myself.
After sitting with that feeling for a long while, the discomfort grew and grew. I eventually found the support I needed to shed some light on my discomfort, to explain the cause of my discontentment and to uncover what I needed to start over and venture down a new path.
And while I would like to say, this shift allowed me to believe in myself unconditionally, the truth was, I still struggled with a lot of the same fears and self doubts. My work brought me the joy and fulfillment that I had been seeking, but I realized that in order to make the impact and the contribution I longed to make, I needed to change my thought patterns. I needed to learn how to keep fear and self-doubt from driving my actions and holding me back.
So I sought out resources, thought leaders and authors to learn what I needed to know to make a deep, sustainable change myself AND ultimately, to guide other women to do the same. It wasn’t about eliminating all fear and self-doubt, but rather rising above them and building the resilience and inner strength to move forward in spite of them.
I discovered it was a combination of the inner work and outer work that was most effective. It was finding the right tools and strategies to manage self-doubt, recognize when fear or perfectionism were in the way in combination with the practical learning of communicating, setting boundaries, and navigating criticism that created sustainable change.
These are also the tools that have helped me personally step into writing and publishing, public speaking and creating, and doing the work that I most love to do for the past decade.
I now share and support other women with these same tools and this same process. And I’ve been able to help dozens now to manage their own interpersonal and career challenges, build their resilience as leaders, experience more fulfillment, and make the impact they want to have.
There comes a time when living in discomfort and discontent is no longer acceptable. This is both frightening and exciting. Exhausting and energizing. I am here to enable you on this journey and to accelerate your progress so you can successfully navigate the challenges and experience the joy and fulfillment that it brings.
I look forward to supporting you.
